We are celebrating “Stepping into a bright New You”
the week of Tuesday, January 17th through Monday, January 23rd.
New participants can try a dance class for the special drop-in rate of $5, and enrolled students can try a class they are not taking for the same low rate.
The Friday evening and Saturday morning line-ups are specifically geared to provide fitness and recreation dance opportunities for non-traditional dance students. Friday evening includes Teen/Adult Tap, at an introductory to intermediate level, and Social Dance classes covering Cha, Cha, West Coast Swing, Fox Trot, and more.
Keeping to the motto of classes for all ages, stages, and styles, Saturday mornings kick off with Toddler/Parent Movement classes taught by Academy Director, Rachel Winchester. Followed by two new classes this semester Pilates, with Comprehensive BASI certified Pilates instructor Judy Drown, who uses her years of experience to craft classes that address student goals. Whether for injury rehabilitation or prevention, performance improvement, or overall wellness, Pilates is a low-impact, full-body workout accessible to all Teen/Adult participants. Also new on Saturdays, is a Motion Theatre class taught by Jillian Naylor with instruction in basic ballet, character tap, and jazz to include partnering and patterns specifically designed to enhance stage presence. Lessons are set to Broadway show tunes with exciting public performance opportunities during the semester.
All classes including satellite locations of Troy and Genesee are offering the special $5 rate to try classes. Other classes include Creative Dance, Beginning Ballet, Tap & Jazz for ages 4 to 8; Ballet, Jazz/hip hop, Lyrical Dance, and Musical Theatre for ages 9 and up.
